What’s holding you back?
Let’s find out together.
Let’s find out together.
I’ll help you quiet the noise in your head and shake hands with your subconscious. When you get out of your own way, sobriety feels effortless and life’s abundance becomes apparent.
Recovery isn’t one-size-fits-all—it requires trial and error, adjusting and flexibility. Over the past 20 years, I’ve seen people find sobriety in all kinds of ways. I’ll help you find your path.
My approach to recovery will attune your senses to the Sacred, where real power resides. Together, we learn to let go and allow the Universe/God/Source to create the change. The wisdom traditions guide us along the way.
I help create the conditions for those powerful “Aha Moments” that spark genuine transformation. While listening to advice can feel reassuring—offering the comfort of security—it’s the stirrings of the Sacred that truly ignite these pivotal epiphanies. And it’s in those moments of sudden clarity that real, lasting change begins to take root.
After 20 years in recovery, I’ve learned that traditional methods don’t always address the deeper issues behind self-sabotage, substance abuse, and addiction. That’s why my approach blends what our ancestors knew and modern science.
The common denominator in all human experience is consciousness. My academic background from the University of Michigan gives me a fresh perspective on our shared challenge.
From mindfulness and Stoicism to shamanism, Jungian psychology, and life force enhancement, my non-traditional method looks beyond just quitting, rules, and self-discipline. It’s about connecting to the Sacred. By exploring meditation, subconscious healing, and restoring your soul, you’ll uncover the root causes of addiction and nurture every part of yourself.
Client Testimonial
“Before working with Chris, my relationships were strained and I’d nearly lost my job due to erratic behavior. Within three months of his coaching, I restored trust at work and rebuilt open communication with my spouse. I’m now 8 months sober, sleeping better, and my weekly anxiety attacks have dropped to virtually zero.”
My recovery approach centers on the Jungian Shadow because it:
In my coaching, we turn inward to illuminate the unspoken guilt and potential within your shadow. Guided by Jung’s wisdom, each session deepens self-awareness, unleashes new energy, and fosters true integration. This work transcends habit-breaking, fueling genuine transformation so you can step fully into your most empowered, authentic self.
From the desk of Chris, Founder of Sacred Sobriety
Re: Breaking the cycle of relapse with a path that honors the Sacred
At 25, I woke up in jail, realized something had to change, and made a decision that sparked a lifelong journey toward sobriety. Yet the path hasn’t been linear. Years later I woke up in the ICU at the hospital after a nightmare relapse.
I’ve rebuilt my health and life more than once, faltered after personal loss and business collapse, and discovered that true healing comes from something deeper than simply stopping destructive habits.
Sacred Sobriety emerged from these experiences. It’s about transforming chaos into order, uncovering purpose, and aligning with a force bigger than ourselves. Sobriety isn’t just about quitting; it’s about rebuilding from the ground up, integrating hidden wounds, and forging a stronger connection to the Sacred.
One essential truth became clear: Suffering shouldn’t define us—it shapes us. When pain or trauma becomes our identity, we stay stuck, reliving the same story. Real freedom comes from forging character in the fires of struggle and choosing growth instead of letting hardship lock us in place.
Looking back, three principles guided my recovery:
“You’re only as sick as your secrets.” But it’s not the secrets themselves that harm us—it’s the guilt and shame we carry about them. These emotions become heavy chains, anchoring us in a cycle of self-punishment and disconnection.
Recovery programs like AA often focus on cataloging our defects of character, but rehashing our “sins” repeatedly can keep us stuck. When guilt and shame are constantly revisited, they stop being tools for growth and become barriers to healing. Instead of empowering us to move forward, this focus reinforces feelings of unworthiness and failure.
Years of accumulated guilt—whether personal, generational, or societal—can block our path to healing. People like us often carry an especially heavy load of shame, far beyond what most people experience. This burden can perpetuate cycles of sickness unless addressed with compassion and a shift in focus.
Relapsing isn’t shameful, and it isn’t a sign of failure. It’s starting over with experience. Instead of seeing a slip as a loss, it should be recognized as a learning opportunity. Recovery is not about hierarchies or judgment—it’s about humility, growth, and healing.
A compassionate recovery program should guide us to:
Like a spiritual surgery, recovery requires sanitizing your environment and removing toxic influences to allow for true healing. This means drinking/drug buddies, emotional vampires, and abusive family members have to go.
Addiction is a wound—one that cannot heal if it’s constantly exposed to infection. The people, places, and habits in our lives often act as the bacteria that reinfects us, no matter how much work we put into healing. Clearing these influences—sanitizing the wound—is not just necessary; it’s transformative.
“I’m not playing the victim, I just complain sometimes. If people would just act right…”
But here’s the truth: if you complain about traffic, coworkers, family, or politics, you are playing the victim. Why? Because you’re expecting the world to go the way you want it to. That’s not strength—it’s selfishness disguised as frustration.
These habits—self-importance and victimhood—are forms of narcissism. They’re at the root of our spiritual struggles and addiction. When life is all about “me,” whether through inflated ego or constant complaints, we lose connection to others and the Sacred. This self-centered mindset traps us in isolation and fuels unhappiness.
Addiction thrives when we focus only on ourselves. People with inflated egos may use substances to maintain their image or escape feelings of inadequacy. Those stuck in victimhood often turn to addiction as a way to cope with life’s challenges. Both attitudes keep us from taking responsibility and finding real solutions.
This “me first” attitude isn’t just a personal problem—it’s tearing society apart. When we’re all focused on our own grievances, it’s hard to connect with others or build community. The result? More loneliness, more addiction, and more spiritual emptiness.
The way out is simple but powerful: care for others. Acts of service and daily gratitude can shift your focus from what you don’t have to what you can give. Helping others creates connection, purpose, and fulfillment—the keys to lasting recovery and a better life.
You’ve probably heard the story:
That you’re powerless.
That you must follow a rigid set of steps.
That healing only comes after you hit rock bottom.
That path may work for some—but it doesn’t sit right with me.
And maybe it doesn’t with you either.
Because here’s the truth:
There is no bottom. And you are powerful.
If you’ve found your way here,
it means pain has already awakened something in you.
You’ve felt the shock of suffering.
You’re ready.
Don’t gamble with how much worse it could get.
Hell has a basement.
You don’t need to break more to be worthy of healing.
Yes, control is an illusion.
But we can certainly change our inner world and influence our outer world.
We can tap into God/Spirit/Source.
And that—that is where the real power lives.
This isn’t ego, it’s our sacred right.
It’s also a fact.
You know that feeling when you’re scrolling through social media and suddenly realize you’ve lost an hour? That’s part of the disconnection we’re talking about. Our world pushes us to move faster, compete harder, and make more money for the sake of MORE—more what? …and at what cost?
Anxiety, depression, and addiction thrive when we lose touch with three essential things:
The solution isn’t found in more pills, powders, or liquids. It’s getting back to how our ancestors interacted with life and integrating more of that with our modern way of life.
This isn’t just about quitting something.
It’s about reconnecting to what we used to know.
You are not being tortured by life itself; rather, it’s your perception—your thoughts—that causes the suffering. Prayer and meditation cleanse the lens through which you view your life, elevating your perspective and revealing clarity about the steps you need to take.
They also raise your vibration and harmonize your energetic state—an effect supported by science—giving you a more pleasant and empowered presence.

“I’d tried countless programs, but none helped me stabilize financially or improve my overall well-being. After following Chris’s guidance, I’ve saved enough money to clear a chunk of debt and even started a small emergency fund. My energy levels and mood have improved so much that my siblings and I are actually enjoying family dinners again—something I never thought possible at this stage.”

I’m Chris, and I’m truly glad you’ve found your way here. My life’s work is rooted in a journey of transformation—a climb from the depths of alcoholism, substance abuse, and homelessness to a life guided by purpose, spiritual connection, and resilience. At 25, I took my first steps toward recovery, committing myself to a path that continues to evolve and deepen to this day.
With over 20 years of personal experience navigating and overcoming addiction, I know the darkness that can feel insurmountable. It’s this lived experience that allows me to walk alongside you as a fellow traveler, offering not just understanding but tools and strategies that work in the real world.
My professional journey has been shaped by a deep fascination with human potential that began when I discovered the work of Tony Robbins at just 12 years old. Since then, I’ve explored and integrated insights from mindfulness coaching, business coaching, and now recovery coaching. Academically, I studied Consciousness and Psychology at the University of Michigan, building a foundation that helps me understand the complexities of the human mind and spirit.
Philosophically, my work is inspired by shamanism, stoicism, and modern mysticism. I often think of my advisory panel as including figures like Marcus Aurelius, Carl Jung, and Terence McKenna, whose timeless wisdom informs my approach to recovery. My goal is to help you tap into the Creative Force that flows through all of us, to find meaning, purpose, and clarity in your life.
At the heart of my coaching is a belief in the power of balance: honoring ambition while cultivating gratitude, embracing humility as a strength, and seeking meaning over materialism. My approach values thoughtful honesty, self-respect, and the pursuit of a life deeply rooted in connection—with yourself, others, and the Sacred.
Above all, I bring a spirit of gratitude to my work. The lessons I’ve learned through struggle and triumph are what I now share with you, not as a teacher looking down, but as someone who knows the road and is ready to walk it with you.
Coaching begins with understanding your unique needs and goals. Together, we create a personalized plan that includes actionable steps, regular check-ins, and adjustments as needed. You won’t be overwhelmed with homework but there is work to be done; the process is designed to be challenging, supportive, and flexible.
Most recovery plans aren’t designed for you—they’re designed for someone else. This program gives you a custom plan that works with your unique personality, strengths, and spiritual needs, helping you break free from addiction.
Progress is monitored through regular assessments and feedback during our sessions. We set clear, achievable goals and review them periodically to ensure you’re moving forward in your recovery journey. Adjustments are made as needed to address any emerging challenges or to set new objectives.
While counseling often centers on diagnosing past traumas and sponsors tend to overlook them entirely, this coaching process strikes a balance: acknowledging trauma and the shadow self while focusing on moving forward. Unlike therapy or sponsorship, recovery coaching emphasizes setting meaningful goals, building healthy habits, and maintaining accountability to take action—empowering you to create a future aligned with your true self and strengths.
Put simply, you’ll walk away with clear marching orders—actions to take. We focus on making things happen, not just indulging in mental or emotional ‘check-ins.’ You’ll never leave our sessions empty-handed. Every session delivers dynamic breakthroughs, because otherwise, what’s the point?
Absolutely! Recovery coaching is a powerful complement to other forms of treatment like therapy and support groups. By integrating these approaches, you can create a more well-rounded and effective recovery process. Furthermore, my program in 100% compatible with any religious belief or 12-step program.
Confidentiality is paramount in our coaching relationship. All information shared during sessions is kept strictly confidential, adhering to ethical guidelines and legal requirements. This ensures a safe and trusting environment where you can openly discuss your experiences and challenges.
We understand the courage it takes to start your recovery journey. That’s why we offer:

That said, we understand that life can be unpredictable. If something urgent arises, we’re flexible with rescheduling as long as you provide advance notice.
If you’re purchasing this for someone else, please ensure they are fully ready and committed to the process before enrolling. This will help everyone get the best results from the program.
